Realized what's really wrong with "Initimate Strangers" on the way home from work last night (the only benefit to a 1-hour commute, lots of time to think). It's a pretty good opening scene. Now I just have to write the rest of the story and submit it again. I should have gotten a clue when I couldn't come up with a title for it. That ought to let me know that it ain't done yet. Next time I'll pay better attention.

Current favorite titles for "Bones" (in order of preference) :

A Time to Every Purpose
Wounds That Time Won't Heal

400 words on new story "Choosing".

"Intimate Strangers" rejected by bovine free wyoming. Looking at Conversely for next market, maybe, though it would also be good for "Jericho". I'll take a closer look at "Intimate Strangers" tonight and see what rewrites and/or editing it might need. Another letter for the file.

Okay, people, which part of this concept are you having the most tourble with? When visibility is limited (fog, rain, twilight, etc.), TURN YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON !!! Whether or not YOU can see is not the issue. The rest of us need to be able to see you coming! Not parking lights, either, HEADLIGHTS! If you can't grasp this simple concept, then park your car, throw the kays as far as you can and walk away, because you are obviously far too stupid to be allowed to operate a motorized vehicle.

This applies especially to you moron in SUVs going way too fast for conditions.

OK, so I'm off to a not-so-good start. Oh well, time to start over.

Happy birthday to me ... ! 45 years old. Bleah! On the plus side, "We'll Always Have Paris" is now up on the Writer's Hood General Fiction Page. Now if I can just get somebody to pay me for some of this stuff. Sent out "Jericho" to flashquake yesterday and got a message from them that they will let me know sometime in late March, so at least it made it past the first cut. Good sign, maybe?

Glad the block seems to be over. I'll have to post something about that sometime later (when I have time).
